  • The Alpine Biodiversity Board (ABB) of the Alpine Convention is committed to supporting the Convention’s contracting parties and observers in exchanging knowledge, experiences, and plans related to nature restoration. The goal is to foster meaningful and effective restoration efforts across the Alpine region. In this spirit, the ABB, with the support of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), will host a dedicated online workshop, promoting and enabling synergies in restoration action across the Alpine region.

The goal is to foster meaningful and effective restoration efforts across the Alpine region. In this spirit, the ABB, with the support of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), will host a dedicated online workshop, promoting and enabling synergies in restoration action across the Alpine region.

The workshop will bring together national focal points responsible for restoration and implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation, expert teams involved in the development of National Restoration Plans (NRPs), as well as other relevant actors and experts from across the Alps.

The workshop programme will place a strong emphasis on cross-border perspectives, aiming to contribute to the development of National Restoration Plans — particularly regarding synergies in the Alpine context (Textbox 4.2.11 in the Uniform format of the NRPs) — and to inspire future transnational collaboration.
